Since 1995, our school has been providing music education to the Vaughan Community and has established a reputation for high quality teaching. Over the years, most of the Academy’s students have graduated with advanced skills in piano, singing, violin, guitar, woodwinds and theory.
We are proud of our ARCT diploma grads.

We offer a variety of programs from private to group lessons for all ages and levels.

Music Teacher

If you have performance and teaching experience and are passionate about guiding students along their journeys of discovering and unleashing their musical gifts then we would love to hear from you!

At the moment, we are looking for all SPECIALTIES including woodwinds, brass, piano, strings, voice, guitar, bass, and percussion, accordion players who are passionate to share and teach their given instrument.

Job Type: Part-Time

Teacher responsibilities are:

– Plan and conduct private music lessons
– Prepare individual plans suitable for the needs of the students
– Connect and build strong relationship with students and parents to achieve the best result
– Maintain a clean classroom
– Inspire students to do their best and demonstrate that being able to learn music is not only fun and enjoyable but a wonderful gift

Teacher requirements/qualifications are:
– Professional performance experience
– Any music degree OR high level of RCM achievement OR any music institution internationally recognized
– Prior teaching experience (we provide TRAINING on site if completely new to teaching)
– Significant experience of finding individual approaches to each of your student while following the school’s policies and procedures
– Available afternoons/evenings
– Prepare students for RCM exams, competitions, festivals, concerts, and annual Vaughan Academy of Music recitals
– Strong communication and interpersonal skills
– Organized, energetic, committed and creative
– Strong moral values and discipline
